Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said, the recently held one of the most disastrous flood incident was a solid test for the faithful and believers. Crises and dangers come from Almighty Allah. The believer’s obligation is to hold patience and have full confidence upon Allah. They should look for fogiveness for their sins and simultaneously will seek His assistance. We have been trying to serve the flood victims with our leaders and activists.
May Allah forgive our shortcomings and limitations while discharing these activities. He said this while addressing different Eid gatherings in various places of Sunamganj district.
Jamaat Ameer today performed his Eid prayer at 8 in yhe morning in Mohammadpur Jame mosque in Sunamganj town. He addressed the gathering before the congreegation and exchanged greetings with the Muslim devotees following the prayer. Then, he visited the grave of Shaeed Abdus Salam Azad and subsequently met his family. Later.
Jamaat Ameer attended a program in Dhonpur union, secondly in Borodol village under Tahirpur Upazila and finallyt in Rangamatia village under Shachna Bazar union in Jamalganj Upazila. In these events, Jamaat Ameer distributed Qurbani meats and Eid gifts among the poor and impoverished people.
At that time, Jamaat Ameer expressed gratitude to Allah and said, I am very happy to pass this Eid day with the people of Sunamganj, the district- which is the most affected area of this recent flood. The damage and loss of this flood is very severe. Only Allah can manage it. But as a Islamic organization, Jamaat-e-Islami will be by your side with its highest capacity. You should pray for us so that we can respond to the human call. We want your sincere help and cordial support. May Allah accept you and help you to get rid of all crises and disaster.
Among others, Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and Sunamganj district Ameer Maulana Tofayel Ahmed Khan, district Secretary Momtazul Hasan Abed and other leaders, Islami Chhatrashibir’s central literary affairs ecretary Zahidul Islam, Dhaka University President Shibli Omar and others were present on the occasion. These leaders also addressed the gathering and prayed to Allah for the betterment of these communities.
