The Northern region of the country is witnessing the severity of the cold season. The local people have been suffering the most. Under the circumstances, as a responsible, pro-people, idealistic and welfare-based organization, Jamaat-e-Islami has come forward to reduce the sufferings of the common people. Hopefully, the beneficiaries will get some benefit from these humanitarian efforts. Jamaat’s welfare activities will be continued for the general masses, if Allah wills. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim said this while addressing a warm clothes distribution program in 33 number ward under Rangpur City Corporation on Tuesday.
Maulana Abdul Halim also said, Jamaat had always taken the side of the poverty-stricken people. Jamaat has been conducting the responsibilities from its limited capacities as the organization consider these deeds as Ibadah. If equity and justice was ensured, then the state authority would provide service to the poor and impoverished people. This is why, we have to come forward for establishing a welfare state. Maulana Abdul Halim also urged the affluent sections of the society to extend their helping hand for the winter affected people of N’ districts.
Rangpur city Jamaat Ameer Vice Principal Maulana ATM Azam Khan presided over the program. Among others, Jamaat’s central working committee member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, city Jamaat’sNayeb-e-Ameer Professor Anwarul Islam, Secretary Principal ObaidullahSalafi and 33 number ward president Professor Nurul Islam addressed the program.
