Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Abdul Halim has said, public lives have been affected severely as the temperature get down suddenly. As such, Jamaat-e-Islami has taken the side of the impoverished people. He said this while distributing blankets and winter clothes among the distressed people of Lalmonirhat today. Party’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and Lalmonirhat district Ameer Lecturer Ataur Rahman presided over the program. Among others, former district Ameer Abdul Baten, Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman, district unit Jamaat Secretary Advocate Md. Abu Taher, former union council chairman and Jamaat leader Alaul Islam Pavel Fatemi and former vice chairman Advocate Firoz Haider Lavlu were present on the occasion.
In his address, Maulana Abdul Halim said, the discriminations have immensely increased in the society as it is void of justice. The absence of a welfare state has worsened the situation. To ensure public welfare, such discriminations and injustices must be brought into a minimum level. There is no alternative but launching a justice based Islamic welfare state if we want to create such a balanced atmosphere.
He urged the presence to come forward to assist Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to turn this country into a balanced welfare state.
