Blankets have been distributed among the poor and destitute people of Rangpur. Rangpur city Jamaat arranged the occasion followed by a gathering. Rangpur city Ameer ATM Azam Khan presided over the program. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim were present in the program as the chief guest. Among others, city Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Anwarul Islam, city unit Secretary Obaidullah Salafi, Kotowali thana Ameer Forhad Hossain Mondol and thana secretary Shahanat Mia were present on the occasion.
Addressing the program, Maulana Abdul Halim said, Almighty Allah declared in the holy Quran that the poor and impoverished people have their due rights in the property of the affluent sections. The holy Prophet (pbuH) said, “He is the best men who performs good deeds to humanity.’ So, serving poor is a noble deed. The northern part of the country is suffering from extreme cold. The poor people of the area have been experiencing pains and crisis as they have scarcity of winter clothes. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has come forward with its limited capacity to serve the winter affected people. If there is Islamic rule in the country, door to door service would be ensured. He urged all to make all out effort for establishing an Islamic society.
