Former central working committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, former lawmaker, senior lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court, former Assistant Secretary of Supreme court Bar Association and former central President of Bangladesh Sramik Kollan Federation Advocate Sheikh Ansar Ali died in a private hospital of the capital this noon at the age of 78 due to massive brain hemorrhage. The Namaj-e-Janaja of late Sheikh Ansar Ali took place following the Magrib prayer at the Bottola mosque in Bijaynagar of the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman led the prayer. Prior to the funeral prayer, Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman addressed the gathering. Among others, Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer, former member of Parliament and central President of Bangladesh Sramik Kollan Federation Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam, Jamaat’s Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Central Executive committee member and Dhaka South city Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, central executive committee member and Dhaka North city Ameer Mohammad Salim Uddin, central working committee member and Dhaka south city Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Manzurul Islam Bhuiyan, central working committee member and Dhaka south city Jamaat’s Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, Central Vice President of Bangladesh Sramik Kollan Federation Professor Harunur Rashid Khan, Lashkar Mohammad Taslim, Kabir Ahmed, Sramik Kollan Federation’s General Secretary Atiqur Rahman, Jamaat Dhaka South city’s Assistant Secretary Abdul Jabbar and labor leader Abdus Salam were present in the funeral prayer of late Sheikh Ansar Ali.
