Jamaat Ameer urges Bangladesh authority to open border for providing shelter to the deplorable Muslims of Myanmar
Tuesday, 29 November 2016

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following statement on 29th November, 2016 urging to open the Bangladesh border in a bid to provide shelter to the deplorable Muslim community of Myanmar in Bangladesh on humanitarian ground.

“The government of Myanmar is carrying out inhuman and brutal genocide on Myanmar Muslims. They are trying to get into Bangladesh territory but the government of Bangladesh is continuously refusing them.

The government of Myanmar is busy in plotting conspiracy to wipe out of the Muslim people of the nation by conducting barbaric genocide against them. As if, taking birth as a Muslim becomes a crime to the Myanmar government. The brutal genocide of Myanmar is affecting the world conscience. The Myanmar government is murdering male and females indiscriminately. They are shooting bullet to males over 10 years. The women are also being raped by the Myanmar soldiers. They are torching one after one Muslim populous villages. They also have abducted over 10 thousand peoples. More than 30 thousand peoples became homeless and they took shelters in the forest. The dead bodies of the murdered Muslims are being burnt and even the alive Muslims are also being burnt into ashes. No one is allowed getting buried as per the Muslim rituals.

Though the world communities scold the Myanmar government for these genocides but they are not stopping it. One of the neighboring country already has opened the border but the government of Bangladesh is refusing them continuously. By refusing them, the Bangladesh government is pushing them towards genocide.

In this backdrop, I am urging the Bangladesh government to open the Bangladesh border in a bid to provide shelter to the deplorable Muslim community of Myanmar in Bangladesh on humanitarian ground. Besides, I am calling upon the international platforms including United Nations, OIC and peace loving nations to undertake effective measures to stop ongoing genocide against the Muslims in Myanmar.
