Tribunal sets 3rd August to produce defence witness in ATM Azharul Islam’s case

The international Crimes Tribunal-1 headed by its chairman Justice M Enayetur Rahim hast set 3rd August next to produce the lone defence case in the case of crimes against humanity against Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General ATM Azharul Islam.
If the defence fails to produce their witness on that day, they would not be given any further time and the prosecution would start the argument of the case from the same day, stated the tribunal in a written order.
Today was fixed for producing the lone defence witness of this case. But the appearing before the court, the lawyers of ATM Azharul Islam disclosed their incapacity to bring witness and submitted a time petition.
The tribunal set 3rd August for producing defence witness subsequently.
