Training fighter jet crash in Uttara; huge casualties; Jamaat Ameer expresses deep condolences

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman issued a message of condolence on July 21 expressing deep shock at the crash of an Air Force training plane in Diyabari of Uttara in the capital.

In the statement, he said, on Monday, July 21, at around 1 pm, an Air Force training plane crashed into the Milestone School and College building in Diyabari area of Uttara in the capital and exploded immediately. The pilot of the plane Flight Lieutenant Tauqir and many students have been martyred in this accident. (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). Additionally, more than hundred students have been burned and seriously injured in the incident and they are undergoing treatment in various hospitals of the city. I am deeply saddened by this tragic accident.

He also said, I am calling on all levels of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the locals to participate in the rescue work and provide all-out support to ensure the treatment of the injured. I pray seeking forgiveness for the souls of the deceased and pray to the Almighty Allah to accept them as martyrs. I express my deepest condolences to the mournful families of the deceased and the injured. I also wish the full recovery of all the injured and urge the concerned authorities to ensure necessary treatment and support.
