Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Media and Publicity Department, Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair issued a statement on July 9 condemning and protesting the baseless, untrue and fictional report published on the first page of Dainik Inqilab on July 9, under the headline 'Delhi-Jamaat behind the breakup of Jatiya Party."
In the statement, he said, “I strongly condemn and protest against the baseless, untrue and fictional report published on the first page of Dainik Inqilab on July 9, under the title ‘Delhi-Jamaat behind the breakup of Jatiya Party. Everything written in this report linking Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami with the breakup of Jatiya Party is completely untrue. There is no question of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami having any kind of relationship with the breakup of Jatiya Party or forming an alliance with Jatiya Party. Such allegation has been discovered with the nefarious intention of tarnishing the image of Jamaat-e-Islami. The nation does not expect such yellow journalism from Dainik Inqilab.
I hope that the authorities of Dainik Inqilab will refrain from spreading propaganda against Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and will clear the confusion created among the people by publishing this protest statement in the right place.
