Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair issued a statement on May 26, strongly condemning the killing of Gulshan Thana BNP Joint Secretary Kamrul Ahsan Sadhan.

In the statement, he said, "Last night at around 12:00 am, miscreants brutally shot and killed Gulshan Thana BNP Joint Secretary Kamrul Ahsan Sadhan in the Gudaraghat area of Badda Thana in the capital Dhaka. I strongly condemn this murder incident."

He also said, "Any killing is highly condemnable. It is the responsibility of the government to protect the lives and property of the citizens. We hope that the government will take necessary effective measures to ensure the safety of the people."

I also urge the concerned authorities to quickly arrest those involved in the killing of Kamrul Ahsan Sadhan and give exemplary punishment to the murderers.
