Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Nayeb-e-Ameer, former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, clarified his statement on the return of the Rohingyas in the briefing he gave after a meeting with the visiting Chinese Communist Party on April 27 and issued the following statement on April 28.
“The address that I delivered before the journalists after a meeting with the visiting Chinese Communist Party on April 27, I actually raised my views for making arrangements for the dignified and safe return of the Rohingyas who had came to Bangladesh and also for establishing l a safe zone for them. If any misunderstanding has created through my aforesaid briefing, I hope that it will be resolved after this statement. This is the view of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.”
