3 killed and 50 others injured in a Bus-Truck Collision in Rajshahi; Secretary General expresses deep condolences

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former Member of Parliament, Professor Mia Golam Porwar, has expressed profound sorrow in the following message of condolence over a tragic bus-truck collision that took place in front of Varendra University in Rajshahi, that left 3 people killed and more than 50 others seriously injured.

“Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, 6 number Ranihati Union of Chapai Nawabganj district Jamaat-e-Islami hired two buses and started a study tour. But the buses collided with a truck when it reached in front of the Varendra University, Rajshahi. The accident left 3 people killed. They are Nasim, Mizanur and Jewel. More than 50 people were injured in this accident as well. I am deeply saddened by this unexpected loss of lives and injuries. The massive damage to life and property caused by this horrific bus-truck collision cannot be easily compensated. I pray to Almighty Allah to grant the bereaved families the strength to overcome this immense grief and loss."

"I pray to Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of the souls of the deceased and express my heartfelt sympathy to their families and the injured. I wish a swift and complete recovery for the injured. I call upon the concerned authorities to ensure prompt and proper medical treatment for the injured and to provide adequate compensation to the families of both the deceased and the injured. Alongside this, I urge the authorities to investigate the cause of the collision and take legal action against those responsible."
