Secretary General protests against the conspiracy to appoint Awami collaborators to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission

-Professor Mia Golam Porwar

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar has issued the following statement on January 9 protesting against the conspiracy to appoint 3 collaborators of Awami fascists to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission.

“The people are surprised to see the names proposed personnel for appointment to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission that have been circulated in the media. Only a few days ago, Bangladesh was liberated from the clutches of the fascist government in exchange for the blood of students and the general masses. The people’s expectation is that the appointment process will be made transparent and impartial by appointing honest, qualified and patriotic people to the Public Service Commission. But the initiative taken to appoint fascist collaborators to important positions in their place has disappointed the people.

One of the three proposed people is a direct beneficiary of the fallen dictatorship. Another was associated with the notorious Aaina Ghar and was involved in the women’s scandal. He has betrayed the people by taking advantage of the Awami League. He has cooperated in the judicial murder by giving false testimony in the fabricated case against Shaheed Muhammad Kamaruzzaman. If these identified persons are included as members of the PSC, it will be a direct betrayal of the blood of the martyrs. We urge the interim government not to include the names of these persons immediately.
