Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum has issued the following statement on 30th July, 2024 applauding BNP Secretary General's call for 'national unity' for uniting all political parties, social and cultural organizations and also extending consent to such unity to press home the demand of ousting the government.

"The current Awami government has taken away all rights of the people and finally carried out mass killings in the country. Many fathers and mothers have lost their children. The government has created anarchy in the country and is now conspiring to shift the blame upon the opposition parties.

The countrymen and people from all around the world know that as the consequence of the provocative comments of the ministers, the Chhatra League and the law enforcers have carried out massacres in the country. People of all walks of the country are united against this mass killings. Under the circumstances, we applaud the BNP Secretary General's call for 'national unity' and on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, extend our consent to join the 'national unity'."
