Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 8th July, 2024 congratulating the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian.

"On my personal behalf and on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the recently elected President of our brotherly nation Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.

I do hope and expect that he will play a bold and dynamic role in resolving existing crises of the Muslim world including the issues related to Palestine and Kashmir. We are also hopeful to see his pragmatic role in ensuring world peace and stability.

I also hope that bilateral friendly relationship between Bangladesh and Iran will be strengthened in the upcoming days.

I am wishing his good health, long life, peace and prosperity.
