Professor Umar Ali’s wife Nurun Nahar Begum passes away; Acting Ameer condoles

Nurun Nahar Begum, wife of the former Vice Chancellor of Manarat International University and veteran professor of the Chemistry Department of Rajshahi University Professor Dr. M. Umar Ali died at 10 pm on 1st May while undergoing treatment in CMH Hospital Dhaka at the age of 75. She left 5 sons, two daughters, and many relatives.

Janaja of Nurun Nahar Begum held

Namaj-e-Janaja of Nurun Nahar Begum was held at the Salambagh Mosque in Rampura of the capital on the 2nd May morning. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman, central executive committee member and Secretary of the Central Publicity Affairs Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda, Dhaka south city Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, Dhaka North City Secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Dhaka south city’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Advocate Helal Uddin, Dhaka north city Jamaat’s assistant secretary Dr. Fakhruddin Manik, Dhaka south city’s assistant secretary Md. Delawar Hossain, Dhaka north city’s publicity secretary Ataur Rahman Sarkar and many others took part in this Namaj-e-Janaja.

The message of condolence:

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman issued the following message of condolence on 2nd May 2023 expressing deep shock at the death of Nurun Nahar Begum.

In the condolence message, he stated that late Nurun Nahar Begum was a pious and virtuous lady. She was a genuine guardian of Islami Chhatrashibir. She had sincere love, affection ,and devotion for this student organization. She served and assisted the Islamic movement throughout her life. May Allah forgive her and expand her grave. May Allah forgive her sins and turned the sins into good deeds. May Allah make her grave and the upcoming journies easier and comfortable. May Allah bless her with Jannah and give patience to her mournful family members.
