Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 15th August 2022 expressing deep condolence as 5 people were crushed to death after a segment of a viaduct meant for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project fell from a crane on a car in Dhaka’s Uttara and another 6 more killed in the fire incident that took place in polythene factory in Chawkbazar of the capital Dhaka.
“A segment of a viaduct meant for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project fell from a crane on a car in Dhaka’s Uttara this afternoon. 5 of the 6 passengers were killed in the accident and another one is critically injured. While 6 people were killed in a fire incident in a polythene factory in Chawkbazar of the capital. I am deeply saddened by these incidents. The casualties that took place in these two accidents can not be fulfilled. I am praying to Allah to seek help so that the family members and relatives of the deceased may recover from this shock.
I am also praying to Allah to accept all the victims as martyrs. May Allah bless the mournful families with patience. I am also praying for the quick recovery of the injured. I am urging the concerned authorities to take effective measures to ensure the treatment of the injured and also to pay due compensation to the victim families.
