Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum has issued the following statement on 14th December, 2021 protesting and condemning the arrest of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Bogra West organizational district Ameer Maulana Abdur Razzaq.

Police on 14th December morning, arrested Jamaat-e-Islami’s Bogra West organizational district Ameer Maulana Abdur Razzaq. Police has been detaining Jamaat leaders and activists unjustifiably for some days. They are arresting and lodging false cases against the Jamaat activists in order to obstruct organizational constructive activities. I am condemning the arrest drive vehemently.

I am also urging the concerned authorities to release all the detained leaders and activists including Maulana Abdur Razzaq immediately.
