Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 17th November, 2021 urging the authorities concerned to allow Begum Khaleda Zia to go to foreign land for having better treatment.

BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is critically sick and undergoing treatment in a city hospital. Her family already submitted an appeal for allowing her to go to abroad for having better treatment. She has been suffering from various diseases and old age complications. She should be allowed to go abroad. It is the sentiment of the people. We hope that the concerned authorities will respect the public sentiment and allow her to go to foreign land for receiving better treatment. We are praying for her quickest recovery.
