Matiur Rahman Akanda disapproves the false reports of two Bengali national dailies against Jamaat-e-Islami

Central Publicity Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Matiur Rahman Akanda has issued the following statement on 16 June 2020 protesting and gainsaying the reports of Bengali Dailies namely Kaler Kantha and Bangladesh Pratidin which claimed that Jamaat has regular connection with Bobby Hajjaj.

An article has been published in Daily Kaler Kantha and Bangladesh Pratidin regarding Mr. Bobby Hajjaj, the chairman of Jatiotabadi Gonotandrik Andolon (Nationalist Democratic Movement). At one point of this article, it stated that Jamaat has an intimate communication with Bobby Hajjaj. Both of the two dailies used same type of language to disclose such notion.

But it failed to reveal anything more specific or anything with accurate reference in this regard.
The language and dictions of the report indicate that it has made such claim only to implicate Jamaat-e-Islami with him. Even the concerned reporter did not say anything specific about this communication. There is no valid reason for Jamaat-e-Islami to have such communication with Bobby Hajjaj. It has become a bad habit of some reporters to make false statement involving Jamaat-e-Islami.

I am urging the concerned authorities of these two dailies to be refrained from publishing such false and baseless report in future.
