Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former member of Parliament, Professor Mia Golam Porwar has issued the following statement on 24 January 2020 protesting and condemning the Indian Border Security Force BSF’s brutal murder of 7 Bangladeshi civilians.

Though Indian government repeatedly made promises to bring an end of the innocent Bangladeshi civilians at the border area, but still it is not implemented. Bangladeshi innocent people are being killed like anything. The number of victims is increasing alarmingly due to submissive foreign policy of the government. If any Bangladeshi citizen commits a crime, he can be punished. But no one has the right to open fire. We think, the government of Bangladesh must protest these actions vehemently.

Besides, I am calling upon the government of Bangladesh to take effective measures to stop civilian murderers at the frontier areas.
