Over 400 peoples killed in Iran’s earthquake; Acting Ameer condoles

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 14th November, 2017 expressing deep shock and condolence as over 400 peoples have been killed and 600 others became injured in a devastating earthquake that took place in the border region between Iran and Iraq on last 12th November.

‘We, the people of Bangladesh are also shocked and our emotional sympathy with the peoples of Iran and Iraq as massive casualties took place on last 12th November’s earthquake in their border area.

We hope that the government of Iran and Iraq will be able to overcome the massive losses of the lives and properties of their respective citizens. I am praying for the salvation of the souls who have been killed in this natural catastrophe. I am also extending deep sympathy to the mournful victim families, the government of Iran and Iraq and also to the injury victims.

I am praying to Almighty Allah seeking His blessings so that the peoples of these two friendly nations can endure the shock of these unbearable losses.”
