Mymensingh district Jamaat’s Upazila and Union leaders’ conference held
Torture and repression to be stopped; Detained leaders to be released immediately, says Acting Ameer

Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman has said, we have been sent to make Islam victorious. People’s freedom and salvation can be ensured if Islam is followed in all aspects of life. We have to serve Allah wholeheartedly. If we commit any wrong due to instigation of the Satans, we should be repentant and seek forgiveness from Allah. We should not be indulged by our desires.
He said this while virtually addressing an Upazila and union leaders’ conference arranged by Jamaat-e-Islami Mymensingh district on 18th May. District Ameer Abdul Karim presided over the program which was hosted by district Secretary Maulana Mozammel Haque.
He further said, we have taken oath to struggle and strive until Islam is established in this country. Result will take place in accordance with the plan and decision of Allah. So, we should not be afraid of any forces of this earth. We should encourage our manpower in good deeds. We should unite the countrymen against ongoing tortures and repression and also to intensify the movement. I am urging the government to stop harassment and to release all detained leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
Addressing the conference as the special guest, central executive committee member Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda said, we have to operate this organization as per the tradition of the Prophet (pbuH). We should also take part in the social activities in order to reach the organization to the grassroots level.
Central working committee member and Mymensingh region’s coordinator Dr. Samiul Haque Faruqee said, we have taken oath to conduct organizational activities. We should acquire knowledge to deal with those responsibilities. Moral character is our biggest strength. We should tackle the vested forces with the moral strength.
District and Upazila level leaders were present in the conference.
