Dhaka South district’s Eid reunion held

The government has destructed democracy and democratic values just to retain power

-Professor Mujibur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman said we have to follow Almighty Allah’s rule and the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuH) for having peace both in this world and the hereafter. It is obligatory duties for Muslims to strive sincerely to ensure victory over all human-made doctrines. He urged everybody to work efficiently to secure the victory of Islam.

He said this while addressing a virtual Eid reunion program organized by Dhaka south district Jamaat-e-Islami. Central Majlish-e-Shura member and district Ameer Maulana Mohammad Delawar Hossain presided over the program which was hosted by district secretary ABM Kamal Hossain. Narayanganj city Ameer and Jamaat’s working committee member Abdul Jabbar addressed the program as the special guest. Among others, district’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Shahinur Islam, Islami Chhatrashibir district president Md. Mainul Islam spoke on the occasion.

Professor Mujibur Rahman said it is our fundamental duty to serve Allah on all occasions. We should realize that we have to purify our soul through self-rectification and simultaneously by securing Taqwa. He claimed we received the Deen-e-Haq through the Prophet (pbuH). It has been made mandatory for us to make strive to meet the same purpose as well. We have no space to avoid such responsibility. Overall welfare and prosperity lie in the genuine exercise of Islam and also in accepting the superiority of Allah over everything.

Acting Ameer said the government has destructed democracy and democratic values just to retain power. They are continuing a crackdown against Jamaat-e-Islami and all other patriotic forces. The government has kept detained Jamaat Ameer and the party’s top leaders as a part of the same repression. He urged the government to give up negative politics, accept the demand of the caretaker government, and release all political detainees including Jamaat Ameer immediately.

Abdul Jabbar said the path of the Islamic movement was never easy and it will never be. In all ages, the voices of Islam were brutally persecuted and tortured. Even the prophets were not spared from that torture and oppression. So, we have to take this movement forward defying all the barriers and obstructions.

Maulana Delawar Hossain said we should not be stopped and disappointed for facing obstructions and adversities. We should go forward overcoming all these limitations. The falsehood should be swept away by dint of truth. He urged everyone to be united to establish a world order as per our dream.
