The power of noble character is the biggest force to bring changes in society. Even atomic power can be resisted by such force. So, Jamaat leaders and activists should be stronger with the power of noble character in order to ensure quality social changes.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum has said this while addressing Pabna district’s members’ conference today. He attended the program virtually. Pabna district Jamaat Ameer Professor Abu Taleb Mondol presided over the program which was hosted by district Secretary Principal Iqbal Hossain. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim spoke on the occasion as a special guest.
Maulana ATM Masum said Jamaat’s members should build themselves as a mirror of the Quranic directives. Only then, our members will be able to portray themselves as a model of good character. Almighty Allah has described some noble virtues of faithful women and men in verses number 35 and 36 of the holy Quran. According to that verse, Jamaat members should emerge as Muslim, Mumin, loyal, truthful, patient, humble, charity givers, fasting observers, defenders of sensitive organs, and remindful of Allah. Only then, we will be capable to attain the satisfaction of Almighty Allah.
Maulana Abdul Halim said Jamaat members should get involved with social activities as a part of their movement to bring changes in society. We have to make the highest effort to serve humanity. But we should be concerned as well to avoid the practice of show-off. We have to acquire the knowledge of Quran and Hadith and subsequently lead our lives accordingly. We should be more careful in following organizational disciples. We should expand our activities in fighting against injustices. We should remain prepared to respond to the call of the organization whenever it comes against the corruption and misrule of the government.
