At least 10 people from Khaja market area from Joyertek of 11 Number wards of Konabari Thana under Gazipur district were killed tragically on their way to visit the Padma bridge and Kuakata sea beach. On 21st July Thursday at 12 at noon, a bus and microbus collided in Shikarpur area in Uzirpur Upazila of Barisal district. 6 people were instantly killed on the spot. The rest of the 4 is still in critical condition. This accident created a mournful and melancholy environment across the area.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman visited the mournful families in Konabari of Gazipur at 10.30 pm on Thursday. He met the parents, wives, sons, and relatives of the victims as well as the local people and consoled them. At that time, addressing the gathering, he said, we all have to leave this world one day. Whoever will accept this decision of Almighty Allah with patience, Allah will create a Baitul Hamd in Jannah for them.

He prayed to Allah for the deceased. May Allah accept them as the guests of paradise and make them able to hold patience to overcome this mournful time. He also provided financial assistance to 3 victim families.

Among others, Gazipur city Jamaat’s Acting Ameer Professor Jamal Uddin, city Secretary Md. Khairul Hasan, Assistant Secretary Muhammad Hossain Ali, city working committee member Azharul Islam Molla, Abu Sina Mamun, Chhatrashibir’s former central president Salah Uddin Aiyubi, Konabari thana Ameer Dr. Kabir Hossain, Jamaat leader Ekhlas Uddin, Forhad Hossain, Aktarul Islam, labor leader Fardin Hasan Hasib and Chhatrashibir city President Shahidul Islam were present on the occasion.
