A meeting of the central executive committee of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held with party’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in the chair. The meeting discussed the latest political situation, economic conditions, and different national and international issues.
After the discussion, the central executive committee has undertaken the following proposals:
Regarding the price hike of essential commodities
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive committee is observing that as this government is not an elected one so they do not have any responsibility and accountability to the people. Prior to coming to the office, they had promised to provide rice at 10 takas per kilogram, fertilizer free of cost, facilities to the farmer, and finally to keep essential’s prices within people’s capacity. But practically they are far away from those issues. Prices of all essentials including rice, lentils, oil, flour, wheat, fish, and meats have increased alarmingly. Gas, water and electricity, and other Utility services’ cost have increased repeatedly. People’s income did not increase but their expenses have increased alarmingly which caused people’s suffering unbearable. Instead of controlling the price, the ministers are busy in making fun with the people. They are making mockery by delivering ridiculous and insensible comments. The Central executive committee urged the concerned authorities to keep the price of all commodities within the capacity of the people.
Regarding the conspiracy of annulling Islam from the educational process
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive committee is observing that the government has initiated a conspiracy to cancel Islam from the curriculum, textbooks, and overall academic process. They are removing Islamic items from the texts ignoring the religious faith, values, and moral spirit of the country’s majority of people. For the last 50 years, the people of this country have been struggling for enacting ideal educational policies and educational systems. But, hurting the religious sentiment of the people, the incumbent regime has removed religious issues from the texts of playgroup up to class three and instead included topics on singing and dancing in order to keep the next generation away from Islamic education, customs, cultures, and ethics. A conspiracy is going on to make the new generation anti-Islamic. Even no teacher in Islamic education is not recruited for many days. The government’s steps will take the students away from Islam and will cause moral degradation. teaching students
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive committee urges its fellow countrymen to take a stand against the ongoing conspiracy of dismissing Islamic education.
