Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former member of Parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman has said, the historic war of Badr was taken place on 17th Ramadan to make the holy Quran victorious. Only 313 Muslims had been awarded victory against thousands of disbelievers. Almighty Allah has bestowed the truth to achieve victory and falsehood will be rejected and void ultimately. So, victory will come but before that, the Muslims must be united. Anti-Islam quarters are united against Islam. But there are multiple factions within the Islamist forces. We have to forget those differences and be united once again.
He said this while addressing a discussion program in the capital today marking historic Badr Day. Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka city South organized the event. Jamaat’s central working committee member and Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka city South Nayeb-e-Ameer Manjurul Islam Bhuiyan presided over the meeting. Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka city South Secretary and party’s working committee member Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud hosted the event. Among others, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Jamaat’s Dhaka city South Assistant Secretary Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, Delwar Hossain, Kamal Hossain, Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan, and city Jamaat’s working committee member Abdus Salam addressed the program.
Professor Mujib said, we have to bring back the atmosphere so that we can lead a Halal life. Our society and its system have enforced us to accept many haram things. Almighty Allah made the interest system illegal, but it has become really difficult to have a life without interest now. Islam declared alcohol a forbidden item and our government have enacted a law allowing the consumption of alcohol.
Professor Mujib said, under the circumstances, we have to learn from the events of Badar. It was an unequal fight; however, Almighty Allah blessed the Muslims with victory for their sincerity and devotion. If we can make the strive like the dedication of the companions, Allah will make Islam victorious even in this land as well.
Manjurul Islam Bhuiyan said Badar war during the month of Ramadan was an outstanding event. We have to rejuvenate ourselves with the spirit of strong faith, devotion, and martyrdom. The disbelievers had waged a war in this blessed month as they became afraid of the growth of the Islamic forces. We have to apply the moral teachings of the Badar war in our lives.
Shafiqul Islam Masud said, like the history of the Badar war, anti-Islamic forces are fully prepared even in these days to destroy Islam and Islamic forces. On the contrary, we are far away from the sincerity and devotion of our predecessors, particularly of our companions. We should make a vow today to make an all-out effort for becoming a real fighter for Islam.
