Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, not only Bangladesh but also the world have suffered severely due to adverse impact of corona pandemic. Many people in our country became workless. As a result, unemployment, poverty and distress have increased alarmingly. But the government has taken no initiative to remove their crisis. Under the circumstances, as an ideological, pro-people and responsible political party, Jamaat-e-Islami has extended their help to make people self-reliant. He also urged the affluent sections of the society, government and non-government quarters to come forward for creating job opportunities for the under-privileged communities.
Jamaat Ameer said this while distributing rickshaw, school van, vegetable vab, tiles cutting machine, sewing machines among the small traders and entrepreneurs and warm clothes among the cold affected people arranged by Kafrul thana west and Mirpur thana east separately under the management of Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka city North. Kafrul Thana Ameer Abdul Matin Khan and Mirpur east Ameer Shah Alam Tuhin presided over the programs. Among others, central executive committee member and Dhaka North Jamaat Ameer Mohammad Salim Uddin, central working committee member and Dhaka city North’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, central working committee member and Dhaka city North’s Secretary Rezaul Karim, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka city North Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Lashkar Mohammad Taslim joined the program as special guests.
Jamaat Ameer said, Jamaat is not an ordinary power-centered and ambitious political party. Since the establishment, Jamaat has been working tirelessly for the welfare and betterment of the general masses. We are working hard to create new job opportunities, to remove unemployment crisis, educational development, instilling ethical values within the people and their worldly and spiritual development. At the same time, we are committed to build a prosperous and just society. So everybody should be united under the banner of Islam to take the nation towards advancement. He urged all to create iron-like unity to turn the nation into a welfare state.
Jamaat Ameer said, though the met offices assumed low temperature in the upcoming days, but the government is not taking any proper measure to tackle the situation, we have come forward to remove public misery with our limited resources. We will consider ourselves successful, if these efforts benefit any distressed people. He asked all the affluent sections, government and non-government sections to extend their helping hand to assist the cold affected victims of the country.
