Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’sChittong city’s Associate Member conference held today with city Ameer and Jamaat’s central working committee member Muhammad Shahjahan in the chair. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman attended the program as the chief guest.
Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Chittagong city Secretary Principal Nurul Amin hosted the event. Around 10 thousand Associate Members joined the conference. Addressing the program, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Jamaat-e-Islami is not doing politics merely, rather we are doing politics to build a peaceful, progressive, safe and humanitarian society and we have to continue our efforts in the upcoming days. Although, our fellow countrymen are suffering from abduction, murder, corruption, vulgarism and other ill-deeds. People want a genuine change. Jamaat leaders and activists can never remain passive in an atmosphere of oppression and torture. You have to discharge these duties. People of other doctrines and philosophies also presented many dreams in front of the people to ensure their freedom. But those ideologies failed to do so. They could not produce honest and ethically sound people. But dishonest people cannot facilitate peace and tranquility. Jamaat men have to be bolstered with the power of Taqwa to ensure people’s freedom. Becoming the member, we have to work defying all barriers to attain this target. People are expecting many things from us and we have to respond accordingly. We should not be afraid of adversities. We should keep it in mind that Almighty Allah is our best friend in this journey. Real change can appear to this nation only through Quranic doctrine. We are inviting you towards that path and we have to be on it to free the people with clear determination. We have to move forward towards Jannah, where we will receive glorious gifts from Almighty Allah.
City Ameer and Jamaat’s central working committee member said, people have lost their rights and they are being repressed by the dominant forces. Religious scholars are being subdued. Under the circumstances, we have to continue the works left over by our beloved martyr leaders. To establish deen is the pivotal responsibility for all the believers. The vested quarters have tried to detach Jamaat-e-Islami from the people by killing its leaders but they are in deplorable condition. Electoral systems are being destroyed. Our ultimate destination is Jannah and we have to move towards that destination. To build a peaceful society, we have to spread the Islamic sermon among the people by hard works. This land is wet with the blood of our martyr leaders and it is our responsibility to maintain the trust and confidence of the people of this land.
Among others, city Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former central President of IslamiChhatrashibir AZM Obaidullah, Nayeb-e-Ameer Nazrul Islam, city Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Principal Maulana Khairul Bashar, Muhammad Ullah and F M Younus, city Jamaat’s organizing secretary M A Alam Chowdhury and Morshedul Islam Chowdhury also addressed in the program.
