Professor Mujib extends solidarity to BNP’s hunger strike program; calls for launching massive movement

BNP has observed token hunger strike for 7 hours today at the Mohanagar Nattomoncho of the capital demanding release of party’s Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. Extending solidarity to that program, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman visited the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Professor Mujib firstly extended solidarity on behalf of the organization and alleged that, the government has kept Begum Khaleda Zia behind the bar unlawfully. She is leading a terrible life. Professor Mujib also urged the government to release BNP Chairperson immediately.

He further said, there is no alternative but massive movement to restore voting rights, democracy and rule of law. A fair election commission and administrations are required to function under a non-party and neutral government in a bid to hold a free, fair, credible and participatory election. He also urged everybody to launch movement altogether against the oppressor regime.

Jamaat’s central working committee member Monjurul Islam Bhuiyan, Mobarak Hossen and Labor leader Lashkar Mohammad Taslim accompanied Professor Mujib during the occasion.
