Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Allama Ataullah Hafizi on April 4, issuing the following official condolence message.
In his statement, he acknowledged Allama Hafizi’s significant contributions as the Ameer-e-Shariat of Bangladesh Khelafat Andolon, Senior Nayeb-e-Ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, Mohtamim (Head) of Kamrangirchar Madrasa, and Head Khatib of Karwan Bazar Ambar Shahi Jame Mosque. He was the younger son of Hazrat Hafizi Huzur (Rah.). Dr. Rahman stated that the nation has lost a great Islamic scholar, thinker, and guardian with his passing.
In his statement, Jamaat Ameer highlighted Allama Hafizi’s significant contributions as Mohtamim (Head) of Jamia Nuria Islamia Madrasa in Kamrangirchar, founded by Hafizi Huzur (Rah.) also as the former Acting President of the Sammilito Ulama Mashayekh Parishad and Vice President of the Qawmi Madrasa Education Board (BEFAQ)
Jamaat Ameer emphasized that Allama Hafizi dedicated his entire life to serving Islam, playing a crucial role in spreading and promoting Islamic education in the country. He stated that the nation will always remember him with deep respect for his service to Islamic knowledge and that his absence will not be easily filled.
Expressing his grief, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman prayed for Allama Hafizi’s soul and asked Almighty Allah to grant him a high place in Jannah. He also extended his heartfelt condolences to his mournful families, relatives, well-wishers, colleagues, and followers.
