Ameer-e-Jamaat at Jessore District Jamaat's Workers' Conference

It is not possible to build a dignified nation without honest leadership

-Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the country is still deprived of honest leadership. It is not possible to build a dignified nation without honest leadership. He said that Allah has gifted us this country. He has also given us many things including mineral resources. But the country is still deprived of honest leadership. If this place is not filled, our nation will not be able to truly become a prestigious nation. He said that until August 5, 2012, Bangladesh was full of misrule and corruption.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the historic workers' conference at Jessore District Eidgah Ground on Friday, December 27. District Ameer Professor Golam Rasul presided over the meeting while District Secretary Maulana Abu Zafar and Assistant Secretary Professor Golam Quddus jointly hosted the meeting. Central Executive Council member Md. Mubarak Hossain, Central Executive Committee Member Muhaddis Abdul Khalek and Maulana Azizur Rahman were present in the program as special guests.

Among others, Central Majlish-e-Shura Member Dr. Abdul Matin, Dr. Alamgir Biswas, Jhinaidah District Ameer Professor Ali Azam, Chuadanga District Ameer Advocate Ruhul Amin, Magura District Ameer MB Baker, Narail District Ameer Ataur Rahman Bachchu, Satkhira District Ameer, Professor Shahidul Islam, Dr. Mosleh Uddin Farid, Shaheed Abdullah's father Abdul Jabbar, Jessore District Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman, Dhaka City South Assistant Secretary Dr. Abdul Mannan, Jessore District Working Committee Member Advocate Gazi Enamul Haque, Maulana Arshadul Alam, Keshabpur Upazila Ameer Professor Muktar Ali, prominent businessman Abdul Kader and District City Shibir President Mustafa Kamal addressed the program.

Earlier, the workers' conference began with the recitation of the Quran by Abdullah Al Mamun. Shaheed Abdullah's father Abdul Jabbar said that his son died 100 days after being shot in Dhaka. He demanded that in exchange for his son's blood, Allah's law be established in this country. Sheikh Hasina should be brought back from India and be tried subsequently. He told the law enforcement agencies to be cautious so that no one should be killed while obeying the government's law.

Jamaat Ameer told the people of Jessore that before August 5, 2012, the Awami League had drowned the country in misrule and corruption. Whenever this party came to power, it took revenge on the people. The Awami League had exploited and oppressed the people in the previous times as well. But this time the oppression was a thousand times more than other times.

He said that the first achievement of the country becoming newly independent was due to Almighty Allah. Then to our proud children. Our children took to the streets with a demand. One of our children from Rangpur, Abu Sayeed, shouted, "There is a lot of pain in my chest, shoot if you feel pain." They took to the streets with a just demand. They thought the police would not shoot him. But the police shot him three times in a row and murdered him.

The Ameer-e-Jamaat expressed his anger and said, "There is no development in Jessore. Isn't this part of Bangladesh? Of course it is part of Bangladesh. But why are they not getting their just rights. Jessore is one of the most deprived areas. This is supposed to be the heart of civic development. But why is there no development? This is also an inequality of the Awami League. He said that a good mind is needed for balanced development. Otherwise, it is not possible to eliminate inequality. Wherever inequality is seen, the government said that they are role models on the road of development. But the countrymen saw that the friends of fascism have stolen the country's resources and smuggled them out, making the country bloated.

Jamaat-e-Islami has suffered more during the period of fallen fascism. Jamaat leaders have been hanged. The offices have been locked. Registration has been revoked and banned. Thousands of cases have been filed. One thing must be said with humility. Let us not be dishonest with the blood of those who gave us an independent country with their blood. They have raised their voice against discrimination, against bribe-takers, against corruption. If they are dishonest, they will be hated and condemned. We instructed all our colleagues that no one will raise their hand in all these things. No one will be an extortionist. No one will be an occupant of the sidewalk. Do not harass innocent people by filing cases.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, today students go door to door with master's degree certificates. They do not get jobs. No one had any rights in this country without their loyalty. Now they have left. It should not be like this anymore. But there is no education system in this country. Insha Allah, we will create such an education system that as soon as they finish their education, they will be given jobs.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami dreams of a state in which there will be no gap between heaven and earth. Some will not be under the tree, and some will be on the 20th floor. The backbone of the judiciary will be straightened; so that even the president of the state will not be looked at with second eyes. If justice is ensured, no one will have to ask for rights.

The fascist government had caused severe sufferings to the nation. They had made all out plan to destroy Islamic movement in this country. They have killed our top leaders through the process of judicial killings. They have smuggled lots of money to various countries. We need a just system to restore management in the country.
