Nation should be aware of the conspiracy of foiling the student revolution, says Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

On 26th August, Monday, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman went to Dhaka Medical College Hospital to visit Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement and other students who became seriously injured during the Ansar protest in front of the secretariat on Sunday. After visiting the injured students, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman talked to the journalists. At that time, he said "On August 5, a massive change occurred in the country. Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, has played an important role in the student movement. On Sunday, in the name of agitation, some Ansar members stormed into the Secretariat, the hub of the civil administration. The students came over there to listen their demands. These students are the representatives of those great souls who gave their lives, and forced the fascist regime to flee in the face of bullets. But the agitating Ansar members crossed the limits and hit the students. During this time, many people including Hasnat Abdullah were injured. I pray for their quickest recovery.

He further said, "The current advisory council has assumed responsibility through a mass revolution. The conspirators are trying to foil them by all means. The whole nation should be alert for such conspiracies. Regarding the movement and demands of different quarters, he said, they have just taken the charge of the office. They should be given some time and chance to work. He urged all quarters and forums not to entrapped by any conspiracy.

He expressed hope that this address will fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the nation. He prayed for the success of the incumbent advisory council.
