Dhaka University’s Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan makes a courtesy call on Jamaat Ameer

Yesterday, 6 January (Tuesday) evening, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman was paid a courtesy visit at his office in Bashundhara by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan.

The meeting was held in a very cordial and warm atmosphere, during which various important issues were discussed, including the overall stability, security, and maintenance of an education-friendly environment at Dhaka University in view of the upcoming national parliamentary election.

The Vice-Chancellor elaborated in detail on maintaining a peaceful environment on the university campus in the pre-election period, ensuring students’ safety, the continued progress of academic and research activities, ongoing development projects, and various initiatives undertaken for the welfare of students.

In this regard, the Jamaat Ameer said that at this crucial time in national life, it is extremely important to maintain stability and a peaceful environment at Dhaka University, the country’s premier institution of higher learning. Ensuring that education, research, and the future of students are not disrupted in any way is a collective responsibility of all.

He further said that, Insha Allah, constructive and positive cooperation will continue from their side. He expressed his expectation that all stakeholders will play a responsible role for the welfare of the country, education, and the young generation.
