Today, Friday, 2 January, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, attended and addressed the annual get-together program of the Dhaka University Friends Club as the chief guest.
In his speech, the Jamaat Ameer said that in order to establish a country as a welfare state, the nation must remain united. It is never possible to run a state properly and effectively with a divided nation. Everyone must work together to prevent division within the nation.
He further said that a divided nation can never stand tall with its head held high. Differences of opinion may exist among us, but everyone must remain vigilant so that such differences do not turn into hostility or discord.
Calling upon everyone to unite, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “Let us all come forward together to move towards the goal of establishing a state based on justice and fairness.”
Leaders of the Dhaka University Friends Club and distinguished personalities from various professions were present at the program.
