Singapore High Commissioner holds courtesy call on Jamaat-e-Islami leaders

On Friday, April 11, the Non-Resident High Commissioner of Singapore to Bangladesh, Mr. Derek Loh, along with a three-member delegation, visited the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and met with the central leaders of the organization in a courtesy call. The meeting was held in a very cordial and sincere atmosphere.

In the meeting, they openly discussed various issues related to the bilateral interests of Bangladesh and Singapore, especially the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025, recently held in Dhaka. The delegation said that Singapore is one of the investment and development partners of Bangladesh. They expressed interest in investing more in Bangladesh in the future. At this time, the issue of making democracy in Bangladesh meaningful was also given great importance. It was hoped that the mutual relations, development and progress between the two countries would continue in the future.

On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, the organization's Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman, Secretary General, former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Central Executive Council member and Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Department Matiur Rahman Akanda, and Central Executive Council member Mr. Mubarak Hossain were present on the occasion.
