On Tuesday, February 11, at 3 PM, the Honorable High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh, Mr. Syed Ahmed Maroof, held a courtesy meeting with Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, at the party’s central office. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
During the discussion, both sides engaged in an open conversation on matters of mutual interest concerning Bangladesh and Pakistan. They also expressed hope that bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations would be further strengthened in the future.
Among those present at the meeting were Mr. Muhammad Wasif, Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan, and Mr. Kamran Dhangal, Political Counselor of the Pakistan High Commission. Also, in attendance from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami were, party’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman, Nayeb-e-Ameer & former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Maulana A.N.M Shamsul Islam, Jamaat’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana A.T.M Masum, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, and Advocate Muazzam Hossain Helal and Jamaat’s Central Executive Council Member Mr. Mobarak Hossain.
The meeting served as an opportunity to exchange views and strengthen diplomatic ties between the two nations.
