On October 21, Monday morning, the honorable Norwegian ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen, Honorable Ambassador of Denmark Mr. A breakfast meeting was held with Christian Brax Møller and Sweden's Honorable Ambassador Nicolas Weeks at the residence of the Norwegian Honorary Ambassador in Gulshan, Dhaka.
The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere and it was excellent and satisfying. At this time, issues related to the interests of Bangladesh were discussed with Norway, Denmark, and Sweden envoys. Bangladesh's democracy and election system were especially addressed in this discussion. The ambassadors have practical experience in this regard as the present proportional election system exists in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. In light of that experience, they suggested implementing this electoral system in Bangladesh. They also expressed optimism about Bangladesh's development, progress, and overall cooperation.
Norway's Deputy Head of Mission Miss Marian Rabe Navelsrud was present during the meeting. On behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, party’s Ameer Dr. Shafikur Rahman, Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Central Executive Council Member and Dhaka City North Ameer Md. Selim Uddin were present at that time.
