Jamaat-e-Islami's Iftar Mahfil held in Honor of Journalists

Jamaat-e-Islami wants to build a Bangladesh free from corruption, terrorism, and extortion- Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Nayeb-e-Ameer, and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said, Jamaat-e-Islami wants to build a Bangladesh free from corruption, terrorism, and extortion. Bangladesh is repeatedly losing its way due to the lack of honest, competent, and skilled leadership.

Jamaat-e-Islami has honest, competent, and skilled leadership. An example of which is the former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Shaheed Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, and Secretary General Shaheed Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid. The Ameer and Secretary of the party, who served as ministers in three ministries, did not commit even a single penny of corruption. The party whose leaders and activists are not accused of corruption, terrorism, extortion. Only that party will be able to form a welfare and humane state that the nation expects. If the people give Jamaat-e-Islami that opportunity once, Jamaat-e-Islami will gift the nation a happy and prosperous country.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest in the Iftar Mahfil and discussion program held at the Dhaka Ladies Club in Eskaton, in the capital on Thursday (March 06). Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South organised the event.

At the time, he also said, it is our misfortune as a nation that, we did not get independence despite being freed from 200 years of British rule and exploitation. We did not get independence despite being freed from Pakistani rule and exploitation in 1971. It seems that the unity on which the second independence was achieved in 2024 is also going to be affected in a span of 5/6 months. Cracks are appearing in that unity through which we got rid of fascism. He also said, for the sake of the country and the nation, all parties should understand that a united nation cannot be defeated. He told that, the role of journalists in the July-August 2024 movement is commendable. The moral responsibility of journalists is to present objective news. White should be called white, black should be called black. Right should be presented as right and wrong as wrong. Biased journalism should be avoided. He called upon journalists to cooperate in implementing Jamaat-e-Islami's commitment to building a new Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member and Dhaka City South Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud hosted the program which was presided over by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Executive Council Member and Dhaka City South Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul. Shahidul Islam, member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Majlish-e-Shura and Assistant Secretary of Dhaka City South and Publicity and Media Division Secretary Muhammad Delwar Hossain.

But in the past, Awami League did not allow us to organize these events. We had to organize these events under different names and banners.
