Secretary General at Gazipur District Workers' Conference

We have to repay the debt to the students and the public by establishing a people's government, says Mia Golam Porwar

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar said, we have passed a dark era. We have to repay the debt earned by the blood and tears of the heroic students and the public in July-August by establishing a people's government through a free, fair and participatory election. It will not be acceptable to hold elections without making the necessary reforms and keeping fallen fascists and their cronies in the administration.

He also said, after the necessary reforms, let us all move towards the election together. Quickly arrest those who want to shut down the wheels of factories by extorting money. The spirit spoken about the Liberation War has not been implemented even today. The country has been independent once again in 2024. Jamaat-e-Islami is working to establish an interest-free, corruption-free and terrorism-free, Zakat-based welfare state in the country. We have to establish that welfare state by following the laws of Allah.

The chief guest also said that our leaders have been killed through the most heinous and false judicial process in history. Even though the righteous servants of Allah have been killed through false cases, false testimonies, lies and kangaroo tribunals, the heart of the cruel dictator Sheikh Hasina has not been trembled in fear.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Gazipur District Jamaat-e-Islami workers' conference on Friday (January 10) morning. The conference was presided by Gazipur District Jamaat Ameer Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam and hosted by Secretary Md. Safi Uddin.
