Jamaat Ameer at Members’ Training Camp of Dhaka North City in Mirpur

We must build unbreakable unity to establish Deen

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has urged everyone to make maximum sacrifice and effort to attain Allah’s satisfaction and Paradise by establishing His rule on earth, which leads to peace in this world and salvation in the Hereafter.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at the Rukon Training Camp jointly organized by the Mirpur, Pallabi, and Kafrul zones of Jamaat-e-Islami at the Ward No. 4 Community Center in Mirpur-13, Dhaka. The event was hosted by Assistant Secretary of the Dhaka North City Unit, Muhammad Mahfuzur Rahman.

Topic-based discussions were presented by Jamaat’s Central Executive Committee member ATM Azharul Islam, Central Executive Committee member and Ameer of Dhaka North City Mohammad Selim Uddin, Central Majlis-e-Shura member and Assistant Secretary of Dhaka North Dr. Fakhruddin Manik, Yasin Arafat, and Working Committee member of Dhaka North Mufti Dr. Mawlana Abul Kalam Azad Bashar.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated that striving to establish Deen (Islamic way of life) is not optional but obligatory upon every believer. This obligation does not apply to disbelievers. Islam has been designated as the chosen way of life for believers, and the Holy Qur'an has been sent as a guide for life. It is primarily meant to show the right path to the fearful of Allah. Only those who are truly righteous can benefit from the Qur'an. Therefore, for peace in this world and salvation in the Hereafter, everyone must unite under the guidance of Allah’s law and the model of His Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon Him). He called upon everyone to form a steel-strong unity in the field with the goal of establishing Deen.

He pointed out that 90% of the country’s population is Muslim, and people of other faiths are also part of the society. Just as prayer, fasting, Hajj, and zakat are obligatory, so is the implementation of Islam in personal, family, social, and state affairs. A believer must follow Islam from the cradle to the grave. Islam is a complete and eternal way of life, providing just solutions to all human problems. The Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace and blessings be upon Him) life is the best model of obedience. Hence, following the law of Allah and the example of the Prophet in all aspects of life ensures welfare in this world and salvation in the Hereafter.

Jamaat Ameer emphasized that the sole purpose of a believer's life is the establishment of Deen. A believer has no other life goal. Allah Almighty assigned the responsibility of establishing the truth over falsehood to the Prophets and Messengers. The Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon Him) came to the world with this responsibility, and his companions also fulfilled it. This legacy has now fallen upon the current generation. Throughout history, those engaged in Islamic movements have faced oppression and persecution, which is a continuation of past struggles.

He further stressed that fear of the barrier and obstruction must not deter us. Instead, all must make tireless efforts to overcome all barriers and establish Deen Islam. He called upon the members of the Islamic movement at all levels to be prepared for any sacrifice necessary to establish a just and equitable society in the country.
