Jamaat Ameer at the leadership training conference of of Islami Chhatri Sangstha

We must rely on Allah in all situations, says Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, addressed the Islami Chhatri Sangstha's educational and training session for the leaders, emphasizing that all leaders and responsible members must understand their duties and fulfill them with determination. He stressed the importance of always being prepared to face any challenges and placing complete trust in Allah in all circumstances. He stated, "The more we rely on Allah, the more His help will come. Depending on anything other than Allah is a flaw in thinking."

The educational and training camp took place on Friday, February 28, at the Al-Falah Auditorium, attended by members and regional leaders of Islami Chhatri Sangstha from Dhaka City. The event was presided over by the organization's central president, Munzia, and conducted by Secretary General Umme Arwa. Dr. Shafiqur Rahman attended the program as the chief guest.

Several prominent figures delivered subject-specific discussions at the camp, including Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Dhaka South City Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, Dhaka North City Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin, Dhaka South city Jamaat’s women wing secretary Ayesha Siddika Parvin, and Central working council member of Jamaat's Women's Wing Irani Akter.

Ameer-e-Jamaat in his address put emphasis on the following issues:

1. Da’wah (Call to Allah):
The message of Islam must be conveyed to both Muslims and non-Muslims. The benefits of the Islamic system should be presented with strong reasoning. Da’wah work must continue in all favorable and unfavorable conditions.

2. Two Approaches to Da’wah – Verbal & Practical:

Practical Da’wah has the greatest impact, and the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) serves as the best example. Good character, balanced temperament, and a kind approach are essential. When explaining Islam, arguments should be presented based on the Quran and Sunnah in a heartfelt and logical manner.

3. Active Participation in Social Activities:

Students should engage in solving familial and financial problems within their communities.

4. Bringing Change in Leadership & Society:

Students must focus on transforming society and the state by ensuring righteous leadership. While working for societal change, students must prioritize their education.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman concluded by urging student leaders to use Ramadan as a time for self-improvement and to actively contribute toward building a just society based on Islamic principles.
