Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, "I congratulate those who oppose us. Jamaat has remained always in the discussion due to their criticism and propaganda. As a result, where we could not reach easily, they helped us to reach over there.”
He said these things while addressing the half-yearly members’ conference in Pabna on Saturday as the chief guest. Pabna district Jamaat-e-Islami organized the event at Pabna Edward College grounds.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, 'I seek the assistance from Allah to reach the spirit and ideology of Jamaat-e-Islami along with its name. There should not be a single house left in Pabna where the call of Tawheed will not reach. All creations of Allah must be respected. We will consider people as people and call them to the path of Allah.
He also said, 'Disparity has not been removed yet. A temporary relief has come. We will eliminate all minor discriminations, InshAllah. The August Revolution created a favorable atmosphere. No one could have imagined that this Bangladesh would change in just two months. May Allah accept those victims who have sacrificed their most for the nation and Islam.
District Jamaat Ameer Professor Abu Taleb Mandal presided over the program which was hosted by District Secretary Principal Hafez Maulana Iqbal Hussain. Among others, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Kushtia District Jamaat Ameer Professor Maulana Abul Hashem, Sirajganj District Ameer Principal Shahinur Alam, Natore District Ameer Dr. Mir Nurul Islam and former Pabna district Ameer Abdur Rahim addressed the program.
Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, the members are the main driving force of the organization. The success of the organization depends on the activities of our members. In the light of Qur'an and Sunnah, we must continue the work of dawat in the society as per the directives of the Quran and Sunnah. We have to work to build a just society in this country. People from all walks of life should be involved in this work."
After the Rukon conference, Jamaat Ameer met and interacted with the families of martyrs in the anti-discrimination student movement at Pabna Darun Aman Trust in the afternoon.
