Prayer program held commemorating former female MP Hafeza Asma Khatun

Stubbornness, fascism are not beneficial for anyone in this world or the hereafter- Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that stubbornness, fascism are not beneficial for anyone in this world or the hereafter.

He said, "There was a time when I could not bid farewell to my loved ones, I could not even pray with everyone - such a terrible situation was created. May such an environment never return.

The Jamaat Ameer said, "I pray that the entire nation can learn from those nightmare times. May no one else step on the same path."

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the memorial and prayer program commemorating former MP and former secretary of Jamaat's central women's wing Hafeza Asma Khatun at the Al-Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar of the capital on Friday (January 31) morning.

The Jamaat Ameer said that Allah has created two lineages based on inheritance and marriage. Apart from this, He has created another lineage of spirituality. However, the relationship of faith is above blood.

He said that those who do not respect the will of Allah Almighty and follow the persecution of Taghut and Nafs, should know that Allah Almighty is very strict.

In his remembrance, he said that Hafeza Asma Khatun was sincere and devoted. She said and did what she believed in. In the era when she took charge of the organization, she started the work with only ten people. Now this number is 43 thousand. I believe there is no one who does not respect her.

The Ameer-e-Jamaat also said that good deeds make people memorable. 'When a good person prays for someone. Even if he speaks little, Allah conveys it to the heart. Again, when clever people talk in a complicated manner, it does not leave a mark.

He said, she was an ideal mother. She was a fortunate wife - she was an ideal sister and a role model for millions of people. Wherever her family is, everyone is a preacher of Islam and this is rare scenario.

He recognised the late Hafeza Asma Khatun as a preacher of the Quran and sought prayers for her forgiveness.

The program, chaired by the late Hafeza Asma Khatun's eldest son Niaz Makhdum and hosted by his younger son, and cultural personality Professor Saifullah Mansur, was attended by special guests including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Central Executive Council Member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Dhaka city South Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, Central Working Committee Member Advocate Jasim Uddin Sarkar, Dr. Mamun Al Azmi, Hemayet Hossain, Barrister Najib Momen, and others.
