Everyone must unite to confront the allies of fascism who are trying to create anarchy, says Professor Mia Golam Porwar

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar has said that no matter how provocative the actions of ISKCON are, we must respond with patience and endurance. The allies of the fascist forces have set traps to destabilize Bangladesh. We will not fall into those traps. Everyone must unite to confront the allies of fascism.

He made these remarks after visiting the grave of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif, who was killed in an attack by ISKCON members, in Chittagong on Thursday afternoon (28th November).

He further said, "We pray that the areas of Lohagara, Satkania, and the southern region of Bangladesh will become strongholds of Islam. The extremist, sectarian group and ISKCON is trying to ignite terrorism in the country. We should maintain patience and restraint while tackling such provocation."

Golam Porwar said, "Seeing the vast potential of victory for the Islamic movement, the allies of fascist groups are trying to trap us to stop our progress. With patience, we will face everything. We will protect the beauty of Allah's religion. Our blood may be shed, we may face imprisonment, torture, remand, and martyrdom, but we will display the beauty of Islam to the world, Insha Allah."

He urged the party workers, saying, "Whatever is destined for us, will happen. We believe in destiny. But we must not fall into the traps set by the extremists who create mayhem, anarchy and chaos. No matter how great the hardship, we will show the utmost patience. We will work according to the directives of the central organization."

Among others, Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Muhammad Shahjahan, Chittagong City Jamaat Ameer Shahjahan Chowdhury, Nayeb-e-Ameer Nazrul Islam, regional team member Professor Jafar Sadeq, Secretary of Chittagong South District Jamaat Professor Badrul Haque, Assistant Secretary Mohammad Zakaria and Dr. Helal Uddin Mohammad Noman, Ameer of Lohagara Upazila Jamaat Professor Asadullah Islamabadi, Secretary Maulana Abul Kalam, and other local leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir were present on the occasion.
