Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 21st January, 2021 at the death of Hefazat-e-Islam’s Nayeb-e-Ameer, veteran religious scholar Maulana Zafrullah Khan.
“Hefazat-e-Islam’s Nayeb-e-Ameer, Shommilito Islami Oikko Jot (Combined Islamic Alliance) and Dampara Jamia Islamia Chittagong’s founder Maulana Zafrullah Khan died this noon. Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. He was feeling sick while reciting the holy Quran in his Dampara Madrasa. On the way to hospital, he took his last breathe. I am expressing deep shock at his death.
Maulana Zafrullah Khan always took stance in favor of truth and justice. He was a great voal against tyranny and injustice. He never surrendered before torture, repression, injustices and fear. He was a steady fighter for securing peace and justice. He has played tremendous role for the circulation and expansion of Islamic movement nationwide. The lights, that he spread throughout his life, may this light enlighten the society over the years. He was a beacon for thousands of religious scholars and Islam loving people. The nation lost a great scholar at his demise. May Allah fulfill the vacuum, which is created due his death.
May Allah forgive this great human being, accept all his noble deeds and bless him with Jannah. I am extending deep shock and condolence to his mournful families and relatives, colleagues and well-wishers. May Allah give them strength to hold patience in this painful period of time.
