Veteran lawyer of Supreme Court Justice T H Khan died in a hospital in Dhaka at 5 in the afternoon on 16 January. InnalillahiWa Inna IlaihiRajiun. He has struggled throughout his life in order to establish rule of law, justice and human rights. He has played a pivotal role in the judicial sector as senior and veteran lawyer. He was also a politician. He gave instructions, recommendations to facilitate democracy, freedom of speech and parliamentary laws which have taken him into a new height. His death would cause a big vacuum in the judiciary. I am expressing deep shock at his death.

Justice T H Khan has been appointed as the Judge of Rwanda International Crimes tribunal from Asian zone. He also served as under Secretary General till 19th June of 1999. He was always vocal against injustices, irregularities and immoralities. He was a lighthouse to the novice and youth lawyers of the country. Having touch with the judiciary, he has contributed significantly and the nation will remember him always.

I am extending sympathy to his mournful families and colleagues. May Allah reward him for his good deeds and bless them with patience. Ameen.
