Jamaat Ameer calls to offer special prayer on Friday for the oppressed Rohingya Muslims

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following statement on 20th September, 2017 urging the fellow citizens of the country to offer special prayer on next Friday, 22nd September seeking the salvation of the departed Rohingya souls who have been murdered by the Myanmar security forces and their collaborator terrorists in recent times and also for the protection of the oppressed Rohingya Muslims, who are still alive.

“It is the moral obligation and duty of every Muslim to pray for the Rohingya Muslims. As a part of this sacred duty, I am cordially urging my fellow countrymen to offer special prayer for the deceased, injured and oppressed Rohingya Muslims on next Friday, 22nd September.

In recent days, Myanmar authority has conducted brutal mass killings against the Rohingya Muslims which killed thousands of innocent peoples including men, women and children. Many Rohingya Muslims became crippled and forced to take refuge in neighbouring countries. Around 0.4 million peoples took refuge only in Bangladesh. They are passing days in starving, leading a very miserable life.

In this backdrop, I am calling upon my fellow citizens to offer special prayer on next Friday, 22nd September seeking the salvation of the departed Rohingya souls who have been murdered by the Myanmar security forces and their collaborator terrorists in recent times and also for the protection of the oppressed Rohingya Muslims who are still alive and passing days miserably.”
