Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following statement on 8th May, 2017 congratulating Emmanuel Macron for securing a decisive victory in French Presidential election.
“The victory of Emmanuel Macron in the French Presidential election is the victory of democracy. I would like to greet the French people for voting for him in this Presidential election.
I hope that the newly elected French President will lead France towards more progress and prosperity. I also expect that he will perform his duty healing all sorts of division irrespective of religion, race and color and simultaneously will play an effective role to establish peace and stability around the world. I further believe that, he will continue his pro-active role to build a peaceful world, free from terrorism.
I am wishing his personal peace, happiness, success, good health and long life.
